In general, the purpose of us collecting any data from you is to further develop the software, to provide software features to you, or to otherwise serve and inform you. We do not sell or otherwise pass on your data to third parties.
The web site implements Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) Encryption and all data transmitted to it by you or by the CAP Money Tools or CAP Coach Tools browser extension is securely encrypted.
What data we collect from you
Contact Forms
The web site provides contact forms in order for you to make contact with us. We collect and store the data that you enter in the contact form that you use on the web site.
CAP Money Tools browser extension
When you have the CAP Money Tools browser extension installed and active, each time you visit the budget worksheet page on the CAP Money web site the following data is transmitted to and stored by the captools.org web site – your user id and locale, name and contact details as stored in the CAP Money web site and a summary of your budget (percentage in each budget category). This information is only accessible by site administrators and is used to monitor and manage usage of the CAP Money Tools.
Registered Users
For users that register on our web site, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their own personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
Media
If you upload images to the web site, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the web site can download and extract any location data from images on the website.
Cookies
If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

How long we retain your data
Unless otherwise specified, all of the data collected by us is retained indefinitely.
What rights you have over your data
You may request an extract of all of your data that you have submitted to us and that we have collected from you by contacting us.
If any of the data we hold about you is demonstrably incorrect, you may ask that it be corrected by us by contacting us.
You may ask that we delete all of your data held by us by contacting us. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes. In return, you agree to uninstall or delete all captools.org software and to no longer make use of it.
